Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the viscosity and concurrently mix supplemented ink and retrieved ink by a method wherein the viscosity detecting device is provided at an expanded part of a pipeline between an ink retrieving gutter and an ink tank or at wall surfaces of the tank. CONSTITUTION:A vibrating blade 20 is vibrated between two positions 20A, 20C by two pairs of electromagnets 25a, 25b and 26a, 26b integrated with the expanded part of the pipeline between the ink retrieving gutter and the ink tank 9 or with parallel wall plates 24a, 24b provided in the tank 9, and when an output voltage thereof has become a predetermined voltage Vo or a period of an output signal thereof has become a predetermined period to, electricity for the magnets 25, 26 is stopped to vibrate the blade 20 freely and an output signal of a strain-electricity transducing element 23 is damped with a time elapsed. The voltage V or the period t of the output signal of the element 23 after a predetermined time is elapsed is compared with a voltage Vs or a period its, which are the standard voltage or the period when it is damped in standard ink, and thus a variation of an ink viscosity may be detected.
