Abstract
PURPOSE:To constantly and safely protect a thyristor converting device by switching a synchronizing detection circuit to a low-speed synchronizing detection circuit or a synchronizing signal generating circuit when an AC synchronizing signal has been lost. CONSTITUTION:The output of an AC sunchronizing signal loss detecting circuit 15 is ''0'' at the normal time, ''1'' at the losing time, and the output signal of a low-speed synchronizing detecting circuit 17 is ignored by an inhibiting element 18-1. On the other hand, since the output of the inverter element 17 is ''1'', the output signal of a high-speed synchronizing detection circuit 6 is imparted through an inhibit element 18-2, and an OR element 19 to a phase control circuit 7, through which one ignition command of each thyristor is imparted. The circuit 15 detects the loss of an AC synchronizing signal, and when its output becomes ''1'', the output of the element 17 becomes ''0'', the output of the circuit 6 is ignored by an element 18-2, the output signal from the circuit 17 is inputted to the circuit 7 through the elements 18-1 and 19, and when a normal state is restored, the device assumes the original state, whereby the thyristor conversion device can be safely protected.
