Abstract

PURPOSE:A polyamide composition which provides molded products excellent in heat resistance and almost free from discoloration, comprising a copper halide, a nitrogen-containing compound and a potassium halide. CONSTITUTION:A composition comprising (A) a polyamide, (B) a copper halide, (C) a nitrogen-containing compound selected from the group consisting of melamine, benzoguanamine, dimethylolurea and cyanuric acid, and (D) a potassium halide. As the copper halide used, copper (I) iodide is preferred. As the nitrogen- containing compound, melamine is suitably used. As the potassium halide, potassium iodide is particularly preferred.
