Abstract
PURPOSE: To mass-produce a rubber compsn. having elasticity and flexibility at a low cost, by a method wherein a polybutadiene resin and some quantity of other rubber are kneaded with a vulcanized rubber powder obtd, by crushing waste rubber such as used tire.
CONSTITUTION: 10W100pts.wt. of a polybutadiene resin and some quantity of other rubber having weathering resistance and cohesive force, such as a butyl rubber, a polyisobutylene rubber or a chloroprene rubber, are added to 100pts.wt. of a vulcanized rubber powder obtd. by crushing e.g. waste tire to 10W80 mesh, pref. 20W60 mesh by means of roll crushing or freeze-crushing. Cohesive force during hot operation,such as kneading and rolling operations, is increased, and hence productivity as well as weathering resistance is improved. A butadiene-styrene block polymer or a low-crystalline olefin resin may be substituted for the above polybutadiene resin which is used as a binder.
