Abstract

PURPOSE:To absorb surge voltage effectively and improve the reliability by connecting surge absorbing circuits in parallel to a winding and earth capacitors. CONSTITUTION:Surge absorbing circuits 5, 6, and 7 comprising a discharging gap g1 and resistor Rg connected in parallel are connected to a winding N2 for high voltage generation of a high voltage transformer T1, and earth condensers C3, C4 constituting a filter 3 respectively. The discharge gaps g1 exhibit the voltage-nonlineality, i.e. which discharge and shortcircuit when an applied voltage exceeds a given value. The discharge gaps g1 is determined so that the discharge voltage ranges around the voltage value to be cut, for example 8KV.
