Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve an easy identification of abnormality and the cause thereof at the starting by comparing the rotational speed of the synchronous motor and the power of a frequency converter at least at two points of time after the starting of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A monitoring circuit 32 separately monitors an AC input power from a wattmeter 10 which receives the output of a potential transformer 8 and a current transformer 9, and the rotational speed of the synchronous motor 1 from a tachogenerator 5 and provides the output to a digital calculator 33. The digital calculator 33 extracts data at least at two preset points of time after the starting of the motor and compares them with the data previously memorized whereby abnormality and the cause thereof are identified.
