PURPOSE: To realize a large size for the disk type waste water treating device, by providing such means that divides the rotary disk into the outer and inner disks and then gives rotations to these disks in the different speeds.
CONSTITUTION: The inner disk groups 6 turn along with the rotary shaft 1 by the rotational force transmitted from the motor 23 via sprockets 19 and 21; and the outer disk groups 7 turn round the shaft 1 along with the sleeves 3a and 3b plus the ring component 18 by the rotational force transmitted from the motor 23 respectively. Thus rotational speeds of both the groups 6 and 7 can be set freely by selecting the number of teeth of the sprockets 19W22 to a proper number. Then the rotational speed of the group 7 is set lower than that of the group 6, and at the same time the speed of the outer circumference of the outer disk 13 is set equal to the conventional speed of the outer circumference of the inner disk 8. As a result, a large size is secured for the treating device without causing such troubles as the pump-up phenomenon, the blockade due to the sludge and the like.
