Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the color shading of a three-tube projection TV set on the dichroic mirror composition system, by controlling the thickness of a film constituting a dichroic mirror. CONSTITUTION:At the incident side of red-reflective dichroic mirror (DM)5R red cathode-ray tube 1R is arranged, at that of blue-reflective DM5B blue cathode-ray tube 1B, and at the other incident side of DM green cathode-ray tube 1G. Projector lens 3 is arranged at the opposite side of DM and respective primary-color pictures are projected being mixed together. Then when main beams a' and b' from image positions (a) and (b) of cathode-ray tube 1G to lens 3 strike DM, the film of DM is varied in thickness according to their incident angles and equalized to the optical film thickness of optical axis O' of center image O to DM. Thus, color shading is prevented.
