Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep a depth of excavation constant and to decrease a fatigue of the operator by a method wherein a piping connecting a rod of the boom cylinder to a boom control valve is divided and then the divided pipes are connected to the hydraulic oil reservoir via change-over valve.
CONSTITUTION: The piping connecting the rod 13 of the boom cylinder to the boom control valve 12 is divided, the other end of the dividing pipe is connected to the hydraulic reservoir tank 23 via change-over valve 20. The change-over valve 20 is always blocked, and when a large excavation force is required under a simultaneous operation of pulling of the arm and the lowering of the boom, the change-over valve is opened via linkages 14, 18a, 19 and the hydraulic pressure at the rod of the boom cylinder is adjusted to produce a large excavation force on the block. In case of a single pulling operation of the arm, the hydraulic oil is returned back to the tank 23 via change-over valve 20, the boom is returned back to its lifted position to decrease a resistance of excavation so that the operator's fatigue is decreased.
