Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent beat-tone generation during FM broadcast reception by providing a switch circuit at the input terminal of a horizontal oscillating circuit and by applying the horizontal oscillating circuit with an FM stereo pilot signal as a synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION:Between the horizontal synchronizing signal output terminal of television receiving circuit 2 and input terminals of FM stereo demodulator 9 and horizontal oscillating circuit 10, switch 14 is interposed. For FM stereo broadcast reception, switch 14 is placed at the side of demodulator 9 and a pilot signal from demodulator 9 is applied to circuit 10 as a horizontal synchronizing signal. Switch 14 communicates with change-over switches 12 and 13 for aural signals from circuit 2 and demodulator 9. Consequently, beats with the stereo pilot signal or the beats of fly-back transformer 11 are put beyond the audible range and never heard, so that the original HiFi sound of FM can accurately be reproduced.
