Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable recording of the data of seismic waves with high precision by adjusting the speed of feeding recording paper for a seismic wave recorder in accordance with the size of frequencies of occurrence of the wave.
CONSTITUTION: When the seismic wave shown by a figure (a) is received by an input terminal 4, it is inputted in a seismic recorder 9, while a part thereof is inputted in a seismic wave judging circuit 6, where a signal received by the input terminal 4 is judged as whether it is a seismic wave or not. When the wave is judged to be the seismic, a judgement pulse shown in a figure (b) is inputted in a seismic wave counter circuit 7 and a timer circuit 8. By the started timer circuit 8, the recorder 9 is driven for a certain time, recording the seismic wave inputted. When the frequencies of occurrence of an earthquake are few, the judgment pulse outputted from the judging circuit 6, and a pulse shown in a figure (c2) is outputted from the counter circuit 7 to make the speed of feeding recording paper for the recorder 9 ordinary. When the frequencies of occurrence of the earthquake are many, a pulse shown in a figure (c1) is outputted and thereby the speed of feeding recording paper is made larger than the ordinary.
