Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of key operations necessary to print special letters, by a method wherein, after a given symbol is inputted, a type head is automatically positioned at a printing position thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Also in the case of the dead code for printing special letters, printing takes place by sending out to a system (printer) in the same manner as in the case of other code, and a printing head moves by one space to a subsequent printing position. In the case of the dead code, a ROM15 outputs a response signal, and triggers a monomulti-vibrator 17 via a gate 16. A monomulti-vibrator 18 triggers at a rear end of an output wave shape of the monomulti-vibrator 17, and drives a coil of a reed relay 19 with said output. A relay 19 turns on a switch connected in parallel to a back space key (BSP) in a key matrix 10 by means of said drive signal, and the printing head in the system is moved back by one space.
