Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the above captioned device, by shifting a wire electrode from its shorted point to the unnecessary cut off side of a work and opening its state of short. CONSTITUTION:Between an electric discharge control circuit 6 and an interpolator 8, a short detector circuit 10, arithmetic circuit 14, circular arc interpolator 15 and a discharge restart circuit 16 are arranged. In this way, when a short is caused, the arithmetic circuit 14 determines the position of a point O to the unnecessary side of a work 1 on the basis of data from a circular arc radius register 11, angle setting register 12 and a set position assigning circuit 13, and then calculates a circular arc PQ, and the interpolator 15 performs a work of circular arc interpolation to shift a wire electrode 2 from a point P to a point Q along a circular arc (a) and release its state of short. Accordingly, a state of short can be released without providing a register in which every memory of a passage of the wire electrode 2 is stored.
