Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the collision of trucks and the deviation of steel strips by a method in which each truck of a truck-division type and waling beam type heating furnace is connected with the other in such a way as to enable each truck to be moved up and down independently and also forward and backward gears are provided to trucks on both ends.
CONSTITUTION: The three-divided trucks A, B, and C on which the walking beams 6 are placed are connected with each other by means of the coupler 12 consisting of the convex part 10 and the concave part 11, and the trucks A and C on both ends and provided with the forward and backward driving cylinders 13 and 14. Also, each of the trucks is independently moved vertically or back and forth by the forward and backward driving roller 4, the vertically driving roller 5, the tilting base 7, and the vertically driving cylinder 9. When advancing the steel strip 8 on the truck in the direction of arrows, no play nor gap is given even if the coupler has the aperture S and therefore, no biassing occurs during the feeding of the steel strip 8, because the contact between the convex part 10 and the concave part 11 of each coupler 12 couple with each other when each truck is concurrently lifted and then advanced by the cylinder 14.
