Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit a knot not to be left after cutting by allowing fibers to be entangled with each other without forming a knot.
CONSTITUTION: The end part 1 of one roving is divided, and the end part 4 of the other roving is allowed to pass on the face side of either of the divided end parts 2 and 3 from the direction perpendicular to the divided end parts 2 and 3 and to pass on the back side of the other and to cross each other. The divided end part 2 which passes on the face side of the end part 4 is allowed to pass on the back side of the other divided end part 3 and bent upward and allowed to pass on the face side of the end part 4 and again to pass on the back side of the divided end part 3 and to pass between the divided end parts 2 and 3 and to pass on the face side of the end part 4 and the divided end part 2, and the divided end part 2 is pulled and tightened. Then, the bundle consisting of the divided end parts 2 and 3 and the end part 4 is allowed to pass through a ring 5, and the roving 10 side of the end part 4 is pulled and tightened. Therefore, the mass such as a knot is not left after cutting, for the roving is free of knot.
