Abstract

PURPOSE: To penetrate a pile, a sheet pile and the like, while controlling the generation of noises by a method wherein a penetrating body such as the pile and the sheet pile is used as a distortion energy accumulating body and the distortion energy is given to the penetrating body and released thereform.
CONSTITUTION: A rod 7 being driven upwards by a piston 6, a compressive plate 7b is engaged with a rib 3 and a tapered part 8 is thrust into the upper end part of a penetrating body 1, thus the penetrating body 1 and the tapered part 8 are retained by friction. Next, the rod 7 being extended downwards by driving the piston 6 reversely, a plate 7a for pulling is engaged with a reaction-force support rib 3 to give a pulling load, thus the pulling distirtion energy being accumulated. When the pulling load exceeds the friction force between the taper part 8 and the penetrating body 1, the accumulated distirtion energy is converted into the energy of speed, which gives the impace force to the tip of the penetrating body 1. Thus, the body 1 penetrates into the ground 2.
