Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure the shape and volume of the tangible object from the advance and spaces between a number of contact bars equally spaced and circumferential spaces therebetween on the body when they move forward each corresponding to the respective circumferential space to be measured.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of contact bars equally spaced on the circumference of the tangible object 0 to be measured move forward until they get in contact with the circumference of the object to be measured. This is done in such a manner that each bar corresponds to respective circumferential space to be measured. The shape and volume of the tangible object are measured in a three-dimensional manner from the advnace of each bar, spaces between the contact bars and circumferential spaces therebetween on the object.
