Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a slow-wave circuit with good electrical characteristic at low cost, by using a material, formed by glueing at least two dielectric bars having a round cross section, as a helix supporting dielectric. CONSTITUTION:A slow-wave circuit of helix-shaped travelling wave tube is constituted by a vacuum outer case 1 and a helix 5 supported by dielectrics. The dielectric for supporting the helix 5 is constituted by a material adhesion formed with two dielectric bars 2, 3 having a round cross section. Diameters of the dielectric bars 2, 3 can be optionally determined while the both diameters may be formed into a different size. And any quantity of the dielectric bars 2, 3 can be used not to be limited to two bars.
