Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to increase the capacity of pile driving work by a method wherein the slewing torque of a slewing body is delivered to a pile driving tower smoothly and the own weight of the tower and a pile driving load are delivered directly to the vessel to receive them efficiently.
CONSTITUTION: The slewing body 3, slew obly disposed on a basestand 2 provided on the vessel 1, an annular supporting rail 5, having a same center as a slewing center of the slewing body 3 and attached to the vessel 1 so as to be located at an outside of the basestand 2, and a supporting and guiding member 14 supporting an own weight of a pile driving tower and a pile driving load which is located below a leader 6 and a back stay 7 both constituting the pile driving tower and is movably provided along the supporting rail 5, are provided. Respective lower end portions of the leader 6 and the back stay 7 are detachably connected to a bracket 8 engagingly attached to the slewing body 3 so that the slewing torque of the slewing body 3 can be delivered to the bracket 8.
