Abstract
PURPOSE:To smooth to get on and off a car in a rear seat by holding a seat belt and its lower fixing member along the inside of a centre pillar for the getting-on and off of a passenger in the rear seat. CONSTITUTION:When a passenger is seated in a front seat 9, a rod 8 is free, and a lower fixing member 4 is held to lean forward by a coil spring 7 (as illustrated by solid lines). Then, when the front seat 9 is slid forward for the getting-on or off of another passenger in a rear seat, as a slide rail 10 on the seat side is shifted forward, the fixing member 4 is turned backward around a shaft 5 against the force of the spring 7 via the rod 8 as illustracted by broken lines. At this stage, since a belt 1 and a fixing member 4 are both held along the inside of a centre pillar 2 without giving any projection to the opening part of a door, the passenger can get on or off the car smoothly in the rear seat.
