Abstract

PURPOSE: To spare the number of capacitor devices installed and thereby obtain a proper power factor of a feeder circuit for electric train system by providing the feeder circuit with capacitor devices at a constant interval, where a switch shall be installed in series to every capacitor device, and by closing the switch situated nearest to the car.
CONSTITUTION: When a car is moving in the direction of the arrow and situated at the position indicated by solid line, a wire detector 8e detects existence of a car 1 and closes the switch 9. High-frequency current given out of the car 1 is absorbed by the capacitor device 11 which is situated nearest to the car. When the car has moved to the position indicated by the broken line, the wire detector 8h detects exsistence of the car 1 and closes the switch 10. As the switch 9 is open at this time, high-frequency current given out of the car 1 is attenuated by the capacitor divice 12. The car 1 is supplied with current through the feeder wire 2 connected to the mains through a transformer 6.
