Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the ringing and increase the S/N for the bimorph magnetic head device, by giving an adjustment of the reciprocal relation against the natural frequency of the bimorph to the flyback time of one field. CONSTITUTION:Bimorph 4 attached by rotary magnetic head (h) of especially 1- head (including 1.5-head) OMEGA-type VTR has the resonance wave based on the natural frequency of its own to cause the ringing phenomenon. And thus head chip (h) jumps into the adjacent track to lower the S/N. To prevent this, an adjustment is given so that the flyback time in one field may be turned to 1/natural frequency. In this way, the ringing can be reduced in a simple way.
