Abstract

PURPOSE: Not to lower the rust preventing force under an acidic atmosphere and to keep up a long period efficiency without generating stain at rolling time, by containing 1-hydroxybenzothiazole and alkali earth metals hydroxide of equivalent or more of said thiazole.
CONSTITUTION: The water system rust preventing composite is obtained by containing 1-hydroxybenzothiazole and alkali earth metals hydroxide, preferably calcium hydroxide, of equivalent or more of said thiazole. On occasion of using said compoite, for example, both components can be thrown in aqueous solution required in each powdered condition individually or at the same time or can be thrown in previously mixed powdered condition. Further, adding amount is, for example, 2% 1-hydroxybenzothiazole, 20% (36.5 times equivalent) calcium hydroxide.
