Abstract
PURPOSE: To bond a synthetic resin having a poor bonding property to a synthetic resin having an excellent bonding property by providing a recessed part at the end of the synthetic resin having a poor bonding property, and inserting the above end into a groove formed in the end of the synthetic resin having an excellent bonding property by use of a bonding agent.
CONSTITUTION: In the vicinity of the end edge of one face of plate-shaped polypropylene 1 which is a synthetic resin having a poor bonding property there is carved a small groove 2 of a semicircular section along the end edge. At the end to which shock resisting polystyrene 3 which is a synthetic resin having an excellent bonding property there is provided a bonding part formed in a U- shaped by a pair of clamping members 4 and 5. The width of a groove 7 which is a gap of the bonding part is made substantially equal to the thickness of the end provided with a small groove 2. When both synthetic resins are to be bonded, a bonding agent is applied to the end of polypropylene provided with the small groove 2, and the end is forced in the groove 7. When the both resins are dried, the bonding agent is solidified and forms a projected part. The projected part acts as a wedge, both resins are bonded together and become difficult to be separated from each other. As a result, it becomes possible to bond the synthetic resin 1 to the synthetic resin 3.
