Abstract
PURPOSE:To select efficiently a wide dimensional range of admixture by utilizing the difference in the electric property of masterial to be selected and electrostatic Coulomb force. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of electrode-pairs is arranged on the slant selecting plate 10 by making a corona discharge electrode 11 and a flat board electrode 12 as a pair. In this arrangement, when a mixture M to be selected is fed from a supply hopper to the selecting plate, a mixture of insulating particles N and conductive particles O is subjected to cations. Therefore, the particles N are adhered to the selecting plate 10 and subjected to a brake to dropping, but the particles O discharge cations to the selecting plate 10, becoming minus polarity due to electrostatic induction. Further, when falling into the DC field region II right under the flat board electrode 12, the particles O are attracted thereto, and discharge charge thereof and fall down, where becoming again minus polarity due to electrostatic induction between the selecting plate 10 and electrodes 12, and this process is repeated to make violent reciprocations and rapid falling successively.
