Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a leaking fluid from accumulating between a fluid seal wall and a pressure retaining wall provided with a leaking fluid escape hole by interposing an intermediate member coming in linear contact with both wall surfaces between said both walls in a multilayer pressure vessel provided with both walls.
CONSTITUTION: A multilayer pressure vessel consists of a fluid seal wall 1 and a pressure retaining wall 2 arranged outside thereof and provided with a leaking fluid escape hole 3. Then, an intermediate member 6 coming in linear contact with both wall surfaces is interposed between both the walls 1, 2. A wire mesh or a wire, for example, is used for the intermediate member 6. There is then provided a clearance between both the walls 1, 2 with such intermediate member 6, and an arrangement is such that a fluid leaking or permeating from the fluid seal wall 1 can be led into the escape hole 3 through said clearance. The pressure retaining wall 2 is thus prevented from becoming brittle due to the fluid accumulating between both walls, and a durability of the pressure vessel can be improved, too.
