Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the overall length of a mode coupling unit, by providing square subwaveguides different in mode in parallel outside faces orthogonal to one another of the round main waveguide which has a square outside appearance. CONSTITUTION:Round main waveguide 11 which has a square outside appearance uses f1 and f2 as the frequency band. Square subwaveguides 12a and 12b and square subwaveguides 13a and 13b which are different in mode from each other respectively are provided in parallel oppositely to inside faces of main waveguide 11, and they are connected by connection holes 14 and 15. Error signal synthesizing circuits 16 and 17 are provided in subwaveguides 12a and 12b and subwaveguides 13a and 13b respectively and are operated to take out error signals of frequency bands f1 and f2 respectively. Since the main waveguide is used commonly by plural frequency bands in this manner, the overall length of the unit can be shortened.
