Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a coal/oil mixed fuel which is resistant to settlement of coal and stable for a long time, by blending a mixed fuel to which a specific nonionic surfactant has been added, with a mixed fuel to which a specific anionic surfactant has been added.
CONSTITUTION: As the nonionic surfactant (a), there is employed a compound represented by formula I, wherein Z is a residue from a compound having n active hydrogen atoms, X is a 1W6C alkyl, l is a number providing l×n of 15W200, m is a number providing m×n of 20W800, n is 2W6, and the amount of ethylene oxide which is added is 30W90wt%, based on the total MW, and as the anionic surfactant (b), there is employed a dialkyl (dialkenyl) sulfosuccinate salt represented by formula II, wherein R1 and R2 are 3W22C alkyls or alkenyls, M is a metal atom of Groups IWIII and p is an integer of 1W3. Namely, there are blended a mixed fuel to which the surfactant (a) has been added and a mixed fuel to which the surfactant (b) has been added, so as to provide a weight ratio of 1/9W9/1.
