Abstract

PURPOSE: To distil water to be distilled without needing energy for operation, devoid of trouble and in excellent thermal efficiency by a mechanism wherein a distiller is formed in simple structure whose shallow plate-shaped vessels are stacked in a multilayer layer.
CONSTITUTION: A water to be disposed is fed to a plate-shaped vessel a1 at the uppermost stage from a water feed pipe 1, successively passes through overflow pipes P1WPn and overflows, is filled into plate-shaped vessels a2Wan, and is discharged through the pipe Pn. A water to be disposed bn in the plate-shaped vessel an at the lowermost stage is heated to about 100°C by means of a heater 5 to generate steam. The steam generated condenses on the lower surfaces of the bottoms of the plate-shaped vessels an-1Wa1 at the upper stages and porous water absorbing sheets Fn-1WF0 pasted on the backs of cooling plates K in order while discharging the latent heat of condensation and heat water to be disposed bn-1Wb1 in the plate- shaped vessels at the upper stages. Condensed water occluded on the sheets flows down into a condensed water receiver 3, and is extracted as distilled water.
