Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of dehumidifying towers or other apparatus and parts and to simplify a dehumidifier by an operational mode in which of three dehumidifying towers, two ones performs dehumidifying process and regenerating process alternately and the other one stands by as a preliminary one.
CONSTITUTION: In this method, two of three dehumidifying towers 1a to 1c perform dehumidifying process and regenerating process alternately, and the other one stands by as preliminary one. In case where any one of the two dehumidifying towers in operation becomes out of order, the faulity one is switched into the preliminary one to ensure the continuous operations of the dehumidifying process and the regenerating process. Thus, compared with a convertional two unit type dehumidifier consisting of two dehumidifying towers arranged in parallel, the number of the dehumidifying towers can be reduced by one, only one heater is sufficient for a heat regenerating method, and also the number of the other attendant facilities can be greatly reduced.
