Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a filter plate of light weight by a method wherein a filter frame is used to form hollow section in the inside, and a floor surface to support filter cloths is formed at the lower part of the hollow section.
CONSTITUTION: The filter plate 1 of this filter press consists of a square filter frame 2 combining with lug portions 2aW2d which are horizontally protruded at four corners to tone body, a hollow section 3 formed inside of the frame 2, a filter-cloth support-floor part 4 supported of the inner bottom of the frame 2 to form the lower side of the frame 2, and a pair of handles 5, 5 outwardly fixed at both sides of the frame 2. Said structure allows the weight of the filter plate 1 to be reduced by the amount of the hollow section 3 to make the filter plate 1. Also, the structure facilitates the assembling of press diaphragms and filter cloths and results in a lighter filter press and labor saving of a mechanism to open the frame of the filter plate.
