Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the transmission of efficient information, by dividing the information signal such as voice and picture into important bit group and not impotant one, and making different the error control system for each group. CONSTITUTION:The information signal frame 4 is constituted with the frame synchronizing signal 1, important bit signal 2, and normal bit signal 3. The important bit signal 2 indicates the process of band compression and important signal especially at the decoding and coded by using the coding system possible for error correction with circulating code. The normal signal 3 is the normal bit signal in band compression, and since the error in this signal more or less does not give important effect on the voice quality and picture quality of decoded signal, coding is made possible with comparatively simple error control system. This invension system has the advantages possible for the transmission of information with high quality as a whole, even with comparatively small provision of redundancy.
