Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of utilization of a magnetic recording body by minimizing fruitless time, i.e. ineffective video time in a horizontal blanking interval and vertical blanking interval when a video signal is recorded on a magnetic tape.
CONSTITUTION: In time t1 when an effective video signal is output in output time T of the unit video information of a video signal, the effective video signal is stored in the 1st solid memory element 4 made up of CCD and in ineffective video time, the effective video signal stored in transfer time shorter than the above-mentioned ineffective video time is transferred from the 1st solid memory element 4 to the 2nd solid memory element 6. In tims t2 obtained by subtracting the transfer time out of output time T of the unit video information, the effective video information is output from the 2nd solid memory element 6 and continuously recorded on magnetic recording body 10 and output time t2 is so fixed that t1<t2<T.
