Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable frequency division directly to the set frequency with a simple circuit constitution, by using donw-counters as the variable frequency divider. CONSTITUTION:The digital numerals correspnding to the reception frequency are input in the timing of set pulse produced with the flip lop 30 to the down-counters 26, 27, 28 consisting of 4 lits for 3 digits share. The down-counter 25 performs subtraction one by one from the set frequency. When subtraction is made by 109, detection pulse is generated to the OR circuit 29 connected to the downcounter 25. Thus, the flip flop 30 generates the next set pulse. In this case, the down-counter 25 indicates 108. Further, when the down- counter 25 reads in the next set value through the reception of set pulse, the down- counter indicates 107. That, is, the reset pulse is produced by one until the nu meral representing the reception frequency is the numeral representing IF frequency.
