Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain porous glass having a uniform pore distribution by carrying out the elution of phase separated glass consisting of soft phase which is eluted in a hot aqueous soln. and hard phase free from elution while boiling an acid soln. CONSTITUTION:Jig 13 of Teflon, quartz glass or the like for guiding a liq. flow and supporting sample 12 is set in container 11 of quartz glass or the like. Sample 12 is phase separated glass consisting of soft phase which is eluted in a hot aqueous soln. and hard phase free from elution. Mantle heater 14 is placed aroung container 11, and thermomagnestir 15B carrying out heating while rotating atirrer 15A is placed under container 11. An acid soln. as leaching liq. 16A is injected into the tube of jig 13 at a constant rate. Liq. 16A passes through tube 13 and flows in the direction of arrows 16B, 16C while being heated and stirred, and it leaves the system by overflow 16D. At this time, liq. 16A is heated so that it is bubbled by boiling in the flow after 16B. The boiling temp. is 107 deg.C, 105 deg.C and 102 deg.C in case of 3N HCl, 2N HCl and 1N HCl, respectively.
