CONSTITUTION: While the switching circuit 6 selects and introduces the readout data of the 1st data detection section 2 with the switching signal from the control circuit 7, based on the access signal from the circuit 7, the 2nd drive circuit 10 drives the 2nd access section 5 and drives the 2nd data detection section 3 to the readout position of data to be read out next on the disc. When desired data readout is finished by the detection section 2, the circit 6 is switched to the selection and introduction of the readout data of the detection section 3 with the switching signal from the circuit 7, and while selection and introduction, the 1st drive circuit 9 drives the 1st access section 4 with the access signal from the circuit 7 to drive the detection section 2 at the readout position of data to be read out next on the disc.
