Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain accurate recording with a simple constitution by making the tracing of tracking beam light possible from the beginning, by previously recording a spiral track of at least not less than a single rotation at the start point at an information recording side. CONSTITUTION:The substrate of optical disk 13 is formed of circular glass, for example, and on its surface, recording area 15 is provided. The recording area 15 is obtained by vapor-depositing a metal coating layer of bismuth, for example, on the substrate and from the start point of its information recording, spiral track T' rotating once is recorded. Namely, to record information initially from the start point, a new track is irradiated with recording beam light while said track T1' is traced with tracking beam light, thereby recording the information.
