Abstract
1. A process for synchronizing the operation of control device (EAD, CD, Ctr, Con Pm) arranged at places locally separated from one another and assigned to highway traffic signalling systems, wherein signal programmes are provided in the individual control devices and, in each control device, an item of actual time information is analysed and transmitted by a time character radio transmitter for synchronization of the operation of the particular control device, characterized in that, in the respective control device, the times of signal programme changes are determined by markings, and the actual time information is compared with the last marking to be considered in each case in order to form a time difference, in that the time difference is divided by the duration of the cycle period of the signal programme assigned to the marking, and in that a signal plan cycle counter (Ctr) assigned to the control device is adjusted with the aid of a division remainder.
