Abstract

CONSTITUTION: 3,4-Dichlorobutene-1, and thiodiphenylamine, 2,6-di-t-butyl-p- cresol and sodium sylfide added to an aqueous alkali solution such as an alkali metal hydroxide, and dehydrochlorinated at 70W120°C to give chloroprene. Amounts of thiodiphenylamine, 2,6-di-t-butyl-p-cresol and sodium sulfide added are preferably 0.001W1wt% respectively on the 3,4-dichlorobutene-1, more preferably 0.005W 0.1wt%.
