PURPOSE:To improve speech quality by enabling a call via a channel under good propagation conditions by providing a terminal equipment for the car telephone with the function of display the intensity of the electric field of a control channel in a waiting time and that of a speech channel in the call. CONSTITUTION:Under the command of control part 26 of a mobile station for a car telephone set, the electric field intensity of each channel is detected by electric field intensity detecting circuit 25 to make the channel ready for transmission and reception. The detected electric field intensity signal is converted by control part 26 into a digital signal, which is displayed on terminal equipment 29 via data line 28. In a speech state, control part 26 controls local oscillation part 22 for transmission and reception; reception part 21 receives speech channel information via transmitter-receiver 20 and electric field intensity detecting circuit 25 supervises the electric field intensity of the speech channel. Then, conversion into a digital signal is performed by control part 26 as well as in the waiting state and it is displayed on terminal equipment 29 via data line 28. Then, a call is attained via a channel under good propagation condition.
