Abstract

PURPOSE: To speed up burying speed by making the width of a jet plow variable as well as raise the efficiency of working by permitting single burying operation only by the main ship and also by expanding sea area applicable to burying operation.
CONSTITUTION: A frontal part of the jet plow 7 provided with two long side plates 9 on its front and rear sides is attached rotatably to the frame 1 of a burier body to be towed on the sea bottom. The inside of the jet plow 9 whose side plates 9 are designed to be opened or closed bilaterally is fitted with a jet nozzle 15 and a submarine cable 20 is passed by the upper side of the jet nozzle 15 inside the jet plow 7. Thus, a desired burying operation can be performed by using such a burier.
