Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain gears without any gear cutting by fitting and integrating the boss part of a blank gear punched in a desired shape from a sheet by one fine blanking to a boss part formed as determined by another fine blanking.
CONSTITUTION: The first intermediate blank 8 having teeth 9 in periphery is punched with a main punch 6 by fine blanking from a sheet 1 of desired size. The center portion of said blank 8 is then pressed from upper and lower sides to form the second intermediate blank 12 with a projection 11a on one side and a recess 11b on another side shaped. And, the upper recess 11b is pressed to punch a shaft-fitting hole 17 which is smaller in diameter than the recess internal diameter, so that a gear member 18 is formed. An other thick sheet 25 is punched so as to have a hole 27 equal in diameter to said member 18 to form a boss part 26, which is made to fit the recess of the boss of said gear member 18 and is welded, so that an integration of the gear member 18 and the boss part 26 enables to manufacture a gear 28.
