Abstract

PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce the number of componets per drive coil, by making one line for a pair or row direction common lines connected to the drive coils located in matrix shape.
CONSTITUTION: The row direction common lines B1, B2 arranged to one line are respectively connected to the high and low voltage sides of power supply via the switches S11, S21 and S12, S22. Further, with the selection of these switches and the switches S31, S41, and S32, S42 connected to the column direction common lines, the coil current of trapezoid shape is driven. When the switches S11, S21 and S31, S41 are selected, trapezoid current flows to only the drive coil L11 via the selection diodes D311, D411. Thus, by making one for the row direction common line, the number of diodes can remarkably be reduced. Further, the circuit loss can be reduced by this.
