Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a fail safe property by a mechanism wherein a photocoupler or a current detector is incorporated into a reference voltage generating portion and a pattern voltage generating portion of a pattern generating circuit.
CONSTITUTION: When constant-voltage diodes 12a, 12b are broken due to trouble, a transistor 37 remains as it is turned OFF because currents do not flow through a photosensor 35. Consequently, a transistor 23 does not function, and voltage is not generated at the secondary side of a transformer 27. Thus, an emergency brake relay 6 is deenergized, the brakes are applied, and fail safe is brought. And when pattern resistors 15aW15an are opened due to trouble, currents do not flow through the photosensor 6, and a phototransistor 36b does not work. As a result, the transistor 37 remains as it is turned OFF, and the emergency brake relay 6 is deenergized, thus resulting in fail safe.
