Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to obtain stable reproduced output, by supporting and fixing both ends of the piezoelectric porcelain plate fitted front and back on the rotating body, and fixing the magnetic head at the center of the piezoelectric porcelain plate. CONSTITUTION:The composite piezoelectric element 7 consisting of two rectangular piezoelectric porcelain plates is supported and fixed with the support 6 for both ends. With the application of electric field, the composite piezoelectric element 7 oscillates toward the arrow 15, and since the displacement is at a maximum at the center as the displacement distribution curve 11 indicates, the magnetic head 8 is fitted at the center via the head base 9. Accordingly, since the magnetic head 8 is oscillated always in parallel with the surface of the magnetic tape 10, the position shift between the recording track and the reproducing head can be corrected without increasing the spacing loss.
