Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the data on two or more sectional layers with detectors for one layer, by providing slits in the central axis direction of a rotary collimater so as to correspond to two or more sectional layers, and detecting the radioactive rays having passed through the respective skits by means of radiation detectors. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of radiation detectors 2 are arranged into a ring shape in the plane approximately perpendicular to the body axis O-O of an object 1 as an approximately central axis. Inside said detectors 2, a rotary collimater 3 is arranged having slit arrangement 31 and 32 which are formed into two layers in the central axis direction. The first-layer slits 31 are formed in the right half of Figure 1, and the angles thereof with respect to the central axis are varied successively, from -theta to +theta. The similar slit arrangement 32 is formed in the left half. The length of each radiation detector 2 in the central axis direction is such that the radioactive rays having passed through the respective slit arrangements 31 and 32 can be incident on the detectors 2. By one turn of the rotary collimater 3, the data on two sectional layers can be obtained.
