PURPOSE:To fairly dssign each holding frame exclusively applicable to the appropriate size of picture tube to attach ment of each size picture tube, by attaching a said frame on a holding base and fixing the picture tube with clampers of rotatable arms arranged on both ends of the holding base. CONSTITUTION:A color picture tube 9 is positioned and attached to its exclusive frame 26 including three positioning blocks 29 corresponding to positioning pads 11 of each size picture tube 9, and setting holes 27 provided in the four corners of the frame 26 respectively are slipped on pins 25 arranged in the four corners of the one side of a holding base 21 respectively. Then, mountings 10 provided in the four corners of the picture tube 9 respectively are fixed with clampers respectively provided on the working and portions of arms 38, 39 respectively arranged on both ends of the holding base 21 per each set of two pieces and rotating synchronously with each other, while describing a circular locus passing the circumference of the mountings 10. Thereby, the position of each clamp and the position of each block for positioning the picture tube are dssigned to each size picture tube, a production process is reduced, and the operation rate of a production line can be improved.
