Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the apparatus, to save energy, and to prevent a bead section from being damaged during the vulcanizing step, by connecting a lower end supporter for a bladder of a both-end open type to a raisable cylindrical lower bead ring through a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The lower end supporter comprising a lower ring 11 and an outer cylinder 12 is connected through the cylinder 21 to the cylindrical lower bead ring 20. After the completion of vulcanizing, a stopper 17 is withdrawn, a piston rod 21b is extended so that the cylinder 21 itself and the lower end supporter members 11, 12 are lowered along the inner surface of the lower bead ring 20, and at the same time the lower bead ring 20 is raised to lift a vulcanized tire 16. The start of vulcanization is performed such that the cylinder 21 is contracted, the stopper 17 is inserted, and thereafter the press is closed. As the bladder 7 is guided in the lower bead ring 20, the bead section can be prevented from any damage, and further as a cylinder for a center post, etc. are not required, the apparatus can be simplified.
