Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain titled resin suitable for purifying chromium plating solutions, by halogenating at least one constituent of a chelate resin comprising a base resin based on an aromatic monomer and, then, making the constituents into a chelate resin. CONSTITUTION:At least one consituent of a chelate resin comprising a base resin based on an aromatic monomer contg. functional group capable of forming chelate compound, e.g., aminocarboxyl group- or diketone group-, and monomer contg. no chelate-forming functional group, e.g., styrene or divinylbenzene, is previously halogenated with a halogen, e.g., chlorine. Then, the constituents are made into a chelate resin. Here, the oxidation-resistant chelate resin of the purpose is obtained by using the halogenated constituent in such an amount as to provide a resin having a halogen content of about 0.1-4mol per unit monomer of the resin.
