Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the antenna movement accuracy and its position hold characteristic by applying load torques at all the time, in a reversed direction from each other upon the two gear reduction units which have a nonlinear torsional curve characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: The two gear reduction units which have a nonlinear torsional rigidity characteristics are provided between an antenna unit movable section (Drawing thereof is omitted) and a moving section (Drawing thereof is omitted) so that they can make a rotating motion round a TEL bearing 12 via a gear 5 and a pinion 6 which is being engaged with the gear 5. When the two torques are applied to the two gear reduction units in a reversed direction from each other, the regidity of each reduction unit 3 and 4 changes in proportion to the size of the load torque. Accordingly a high-rigidity and a high-precision antenna drive control becomes practicable.
